Next: v14.3.12 is an early rollout on software 2026.38.5 (HW4), first seen 10 Oct. Not a Tesla App's TeslaFi count on 15 Oct was 414 cars (3.3% of that fleet, 28 installs that day), and the notes mostly repeat v14.3.11, so v14.3.11 is still the wider HW4 build. On 14 Oct Tesla said v14.3 Lite is rolling out to Intel-MCU Model S and Model X (a 2017 Model X was seen on 2026.38.5.1); HW3 Model 3/Y already had Lite. No v14.4 or v15 for customers yet. v15 (~10B parameters on AI4) targeted for end-2026 or early 2027.

| 2025-11-24 | v14.1.4 | South Korea | First FSD in South Korea (HW4 Model S/X). |
| 2025-11-21 | v14.2 | North America | Wide-release v14: better emergency-vehicle, debris and hand-gesture handling. SLOTH/MAD MAX profiles. FSD from Park. |

- No unsupervised FSD on personal cars anywhere as at 1 Oct 2026. Unsupervised driving only exists in Tesla's own US Robotaxi service.
- Every EU approval so far is a national exemption based on the provisional Dutch approval. The EU-wide vote has slipped to December 2026 at the earliest.
- Tesla's June 2026 pending list also names Chile, Colombia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Ethiopia and most other European countries. Only a subset is mapped.
- Version dates are release-tracker dates (Not a Tesla App): when a build was first seen in the fleet.
Who's driving? Increasingly, nobody.

By the numbers
- In low-rate production at Giga Texas since April 2026 (first unit February). Musk: 'very slow, then exponential towards the end of the year'.
- Two seats, no steering wheel or pedals, steer- and brake-by-wire, AI4 computer.
- On-demand rear and repeater (side) camera views are in development for riders (no mirrors). A Tesla UI engineer said so (Not a Tesla App, 13 Oct).
- Self-certified to FMVSS instead of taking a Part 555 exemption, so there's no 2,500-unit cap.
- NHTSA Special Order AQ26002 (10 Sep) cites 21 issues, including no foot-operated brake. Tesla asked on 18 Sep to move the 30 Sep deadline to 20 Nov. A 29 Sep memo says NHTSA granted 30 days on 22 Sep, so sworn answers are due 30 Oct (TeslaNorth, 8 Oct). The reply is not public. Penalties cited up to $139m.
- NHTSA ODI opened defect petition DP26010 on 9 Oct (received 23 Sep). It alleges 2026 Robotaxis (Model Y and Cybercab, ADS engaged) sped through active school zones. Evidence is 3 social videos and 4 NHTSA-tally incidents; no crashes, injuries or deaths. This is a petition, not a formal investigation: the agency is deciding whether to investigate. Part 552 allows 120 days from receipt, so a decision is due ~21 Jan 2027. NHTSA estimates ~1,000 vehicles, the first federal fleet-size figure. Third federal action on the driverless fleet in ~5 weeks, after an audit query and Special Order AQ26002 (Electrek, 12 Oct).
- NHTSA crash reports
- 19 incidents to 15 Apr 2026, all with a monitor onboard, mostly minor; 2 from mid-Jun to mid-Jul, both a stationary Tesla hit by a human driver.
- Nevada
- Interim order 27 Jul (10 supervised cars on the Strip); full permit 20 Aug for up to 5,000.
- California
- CPUC charter permit with safety drivers; DMV has only issued a testing permit.
- Arizona
- TNC permit 18 Nov 2025; service not launched.
- NHTSA AQ26002
- Cybercab FMVSS Special Order (10 Sep). Tesla asked for 20 Nov; NHTSA granted 30 days, so the sworn reply is due 30 Oct (memo 29 Sep; TeslaNorth, 8 Oct). Reply still not public, and none is inferred here.
- NHTSA DP26010
- Defect petition opened 9 Oct (received 23 Sep), not a formal investigation. Alleges 2026 Model Y and Cybercab Robotaxis sped through active school zones (3 social videos and 4 incidents; no crashes, injuries or deaths). NHTSA estimates ~1,000 vehicles. Part 552 decision due ~21 Jan 2027 (Electrek, 12 Oct).
- Tesla doesn't publish ride counts. On 10 Oct its Robotaxi account said 300+ Cybercabs were serving Austin. Two series are shown: community trackers (cars active in a 7- or 30-day window) and Texas AV registry filings (registered cars, a ceiling rather than live dispatch). They aren't comparable.
- Texas registry totals exclude Florida and the Bay Area. No per-city fleet split is published.
- Area sizes differ between sources (e.g. Austin 246 vs 264 sq mi). Not a Tesla App (29 Sep 2026) is used throughout.
- Bay Area is ride-hailing with a safety driver, not autonomous, though Tesla counts it among its metros and in paid miles.
The robot, so far.

- Tesla hasn't formally unveiled Gen 3 as at 1 Oct 2026. All Gen 3 visuals are teasers, third-party photos or leaks.
- Production figures conflict and Tesla publishes no unit counts. The Information's hundreds-a-week figure (via Electrek, 25 Sep) is reported, not Tesla IR. Q3 results (21 Oct) may clarify.
- The ~5,000-unit order and $20k internal price come from Chinese supply-chain media, not Tesla.

- Financials from Tesla 8-K exhibits (Q1 2026 and Q2 2026 decks). Automotive revenue here = total less energy and services.
- Consensus differs across aggregators and between GAAP and non-GAAP. Q3 revenue/EPS consensus is from 2 Aug and may have moved; FY27 is low confidence. Q3 actuals (Tesla IR, 2 Oct): 486,532 delivered vs the 29 Sep company-compiled consensus of 461,974 (+5.3%), 464,391 produced, 13.7 GWh storage vs 15.9 GWh expected. Model 3/Y 478,237 delivered, other models 8,295. Q3 revenue/EPS are still consensus until results on 21 Oct.
- 29 Sep 2026 8-K: $30bn of new senior unsecured facilities — Citi $20bn three-year delayed-draw, Wells Fargo $8bn five-year revolver and $2bn 364-day revolver — replacing an undrawn $5bn revolver. Tesla says it does not currently plan to draw in 2026.
- Q3 results: 21 Oct 2026 after the US close (confirmed in the 2 Oct deliveries release). Share data: Nasdaq TSLA via stockanalysis.com, Thu 15 Oct 2026 close ($362.44, -$4.72 / -1.29% from $367.16 on 14 Oct). Market cap about $1.43tn (that close times 3,949.5m shares, $1,431.5bn). Average price target on that page was $397.83. Not investment advice.
A trillion-dollar scoreboard.
The 2025 CEO Performance Award: 12 tranches, each unlocked by a market-cap milestone plus operational milestones. Here's how far Tesla is from each one.
The market-cap ladder
Operational milestones
20m vehicles delivered
~9.7m to end-Q2 2026; passed 10m during Q3 (reported) ↗
10m active FSD subscriptions
1.48m paid FSD users (Q2 2026), up 56% YoY ↗
1m bots delivered
None delivered to customers yet; external sales 'as early as 2H 2027' ↗
1m Robotaxis in commercial operation
769 registered in Texas on 15 Oct (420 Model Y + 349 Cybercab), up from 739. Tesla said 300+ Cybercabs were serving Austin on 10 Oct; that is not a fleet total ↗
Adjusted EBITDA was $14.6bn in FY2025. The three $400bn milestones need three separate, non-overlapping four-quarter periods. The first target, $50bn, is 3.4x FY2025. ↗
The 12 tranches
- Each tranche needs its market-cap milestone plus one more operational milestone than the tranche before: tranche 1 needs any 1, tranche 12 needs all 12.
- Market-cap milestones must be hit in order, on both a trailing 6-month and 30-day average. Operational milestones can come in any order.
- No partial credit. Each operational milestone can only unlock one tranche.
- Shares earned in the first five years vest at 7.5 years; later ones vest at 10 years. Musk must still be CEO (or an approved equivalent role).
- The award also needs a CEO succession framework in place. A 'covered event' clause can deem the FSD, Robotaxi or Bot goals met if an outside event blocks them.
Preliminary fair value at grant: $87.75bn (Tesla 8-K).
- Terms are from Tesla's 8-K exhibits and 2025 proxy statement. Tesla's board, not this page, certifies achievement.
- Progress figures are the latest public data points and aren't measured on the award's exact basis (e.g. 3-month averages).
- The 6-month average market cap is approximated from month-end closes and today's share count.
- The 2018 award, reinstated in Dec 2025, runs separately and isn't tracked here.
